SCAD ITGM 267 | Core Principles of Interactive Design
This course focuses on understanding and applying the core principles of designing and developing interactive games and applications. Students are introduced to industry-standard authoring techniques and technologies for delivery on the Web and as stand-alone applications. Designing and implementing interactivity is the focus of the course.
I divided the lectures into 3 major sections:
– A series of lectures on documentation and project planning.
– A series of lectures on best practices for HTML/CSS with many in-class exercises
– A series of lectures on Design and User Experience best practices.
During the quarter, students design and hand-code a website and design and prototype a mobile app.
